01. TELL US THE HISTORY OF ELYSIUM?

Elysium was born as a one man project in 2010. I decided to gather together a lot of old songs and ideas that I had written throughout 2 or 3 years before, when I started to play guitar.

02. HOW DO YOU DEFINE ELYSIUM MUSIC?

I like to call it “Mythological” Black Metal because of the lyrical themes involved in many of the songs, which are inspired by the tales of ALL the ancient cultures around the world.
Musically Elysium is influenced by the sound of bands such as: Peste noire, Satanic Warmaster, Horna, In Aeternum, Naglfar, Dissection, Gorgoroth, Mayhem, Angantyr, Burzum, old Satyricon, etc.

03. WHAT´S BLACK METAL FOR YOU?

For me it’s a metaphor of the dark, ancient and true essence of all human beings, which lies in the depths of ourselves waiting to be released from the shackles of Christianity and all those kind of weak and perverted religions.

04. COMMENT ABOUT YOUR LYRICS?

As I said before, most of the lyrics deal with mythological tales but there’s also a few of them based on much more abstract and philosophical matters such as Death and existential angst, which is an important topic on the first album, and Anti – Christianism, as well as some occultist subjects scattered in a few songs.

05. WHAT ARE YOUR FAVE BANDS?

Well I listen very often to bands like Watain, Inquisition, Peste noire, Satanic Warmaster, Venom, Gorgoroth, Funeral mist, Marduk, Katharsis, Darkthrone, Mercyful fate, Tormentor, Horna, Mayhem, Burzum, Judas Iscariot, Candlemass, Sarcófago, Emperor, old Sepultura, old Satyricon, Deiphago, Seelenmord, Knife of Melqart, Angantyr, Dissection, and so many more… 

06. WHAT MERCHANDISE DO YOU STILL HAVE AVAILABLE?

There are still available a lot of copies from the first album “Under the fading rays of the dying sun” which was released independently.

07. WHAT IS YOUR IDEOLOGY?

I don´t really understand what you mean by that but I’ll answer that question by saying that the main goal I try to achieve with my music is to liberate the true essential being hidden within us whether it is by Satanism or the connection which exists between us and our ancestors and their legacy.

08. HOW ARE YOUR NEW SONGS?

Right now I’m composing a lot of new songs and re – arranging a lot of old songs which didn’t make it to the first album and I can say that they have different rhythmic changes, acoustic passages and different tempos, although there are still some similarities with the ones on “Under the fading rays of the dying sun”.


09. WHAT DOES THE FUTURE HOLD FOR THE ELYSIUM?

I’m planning to record a second album very soon, right now I’m working on the new songs and lyrics and its going perfect so I suppose you’ll be able to listen to it next year or maybe sooner.

01. TELL US ABOUT THE BEGINNING OF SHEMHAMFORASH?

Shemhamforash was created a few years ago by me as a black metal project, focused on obscure lyrical themes with a fast and thunderous musical style and some ambient passages. 

02. WHAT IS THE FEELING FOR THE CHOICE OF NAME SHEMHAMFORASH?

For me it is way to create a portal between this plane and the dark side (or Sitra Ahra), which lies beyond the veils of our “reality”. The word comes from the ancient term used to decode the secret names of god and his angels described by the sages who studied the Kabalah and in this case it is a way to summon the (opposite) forces of darkness to manifest in our world, producing the absolute separation from the divinity to create our own universe, our own cosmogony, allowing us to become a god.

03. COMMENT ABOUT YOUR INFLUENCES?

There are a lots of bands that helped to create the sound of Shemhamforash, like Funeral Mist, Katharsis, Marduk, Deicide, Watain, Parabellum, Sarcófago, Teitanblood, Profanatica, Inquisition, Mayhem, Dark Funeral, Deathspell Omega, and many others.

04. WHAT’S THE MESSAGE BEHIND YOUR LYRICS?

As I already explained the main concept behind the lyrics is to summon the forces hidden on the other (dark) side of existence to manifest in our plane and in our minds through music and, mostly, by describing personal experiences on the occult through meditation or other kinds of ritualistic practices regarding the Qliphot. There are also lyrics about Death in all its forms as a way to express the futility of our Ego and blasphemous diatribes against those religions that try to enslave the free will of man, such as Islam or Christianity.

05. WHAT MERCHANDISE DO YOU STILL HAVE AVAILABLE?

The only merchandise I have available right now are the copies from the first EP “The Devil’s Chalice”, which was released independently on CD format.

06. WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE ARGENTINE BLACK METAL?

On the one hand there are a few bands around here that are very promising and sound very professional with interesting ideas both musically and lyrically, while on the other hand, there are bands which make great music but lack a clear artistic concept or don’t really care about their lyrics and many of them include political issues which, from my point of view, it is inadmissible.

07. WHAT DO YOU THINK OF SATANISM?

I think that Satanism, whether it is taken as a Religion or a Philosophy, it appeals to our irrational side (hidden) and liberates us from the yoke of all those other religions and philosophies that try to pervert the true essence of human kind and have become an obstacle to evolve mentally, physically and spiritually.

08. WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT BRAZILIAN SCENE?

Well, I don’t really like the word “SCENE” although I do know a few bands which are amazing which have been suggested to me by people I have contacted from Brazil and I still listen to the old Brazilian classics of course.

09. FUTURE PLANS?

Right now I’m working on a new EP which, hopefully, will be finished by the end of the year.

01. TELL US ABOUT THE BEGINNING OF NEXRIST? 

V.N. - Nexrist project was created in 2012. Creating it, I wanted to express in his music a sense of peace, human life and its meaning. When I drink beer, I start to philosophize. I write on paper their thoughts. Then do song with this. I am the only member of the project. Nexrist only my project and I want everything and left.


-- 02. WHAT IS THE FEELING FOR THE CHOICE OF NAME ¨NEXRIST¨  ?

Nexrist literally means an atheist, ungodly. Also so in our country name a person who is opposed to commonly accepted rules, principles, norms, including spiritual. But in spite of the anti-religious project name, I try not to be limited to the theme of anti-religion in their songs. Life is multifaceted! There are a lot of things that could be a good theme for the songs in the style of black metal. I chose the name Nexrist because often hear it in my address. For unflattering words to address the church and modern society.


03. HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR SOUND TO SOMEONE WHO HAS NEVER HEARD YOU BEFORE?

Brutal, raw, powerful, sometimes melodic, atmospheric.


04. WHAT WAS IT THAT GOT YOU INTO BLACK METAL?

I listen to black metal for 10 years. Before that, I was listening to heavy metal and thrash metal. But I wanted something else, something more brutal, truthful and atmospheric. Once I listened to Immortal. So began my acquaintance with black metal. Then I became more and more immersed in this style. I started buying cassettes and CDs Nokturnal Mortum, Dark Funeral, Graveworm, Belphegor and other black metal bands. I still buy and CDs and cassettes. Only the list of bands has become much wider. Today I got a big order from Ukraine. And recently I received an order from Portugal. I like listening music on cassettes and CDs, although in our country, people usually download music from the internet for free. I love depressive black metal, and atmospherics black, black death metal, folk black metal. I like the variety.

05. TELL US MORE ABOUT ¨NIHIL ACTUM¨ SPLIT AND ВОЙНА: DEMO?

Nihil Actum» is split that we've been planning to record with my friend from Albania (Cryptorsatan). Then we were joined by a few of our friends from different countries - Unhappy (Turkey), Sycamore 3 (USA), Noctum (Spain) and Black Necromancers Path (Spain). Split was realised be Depressive Illusions Records label . This split - real compote. There is raw primitive black metal and dark ambient, and an experimental black. I have included in this split two tracks from the demo: War.
"War" was created under the influence of stupidity of human nature and a tendency to self-destruction and the destruction of their own kind. I am always amazed this the quality of human nature. People began to kill each other once learned to bear arms. We can not live in peace! Even now, in the 21st century, someone is fighting with someone. Take at least a neighboring country for me - Ukraine, where Ukrainian people kill other Ukrainians on order Jew and call it a struggle for their rights. Sad! This is the main idea of ​​the release. "War" is very conceptual demo. All tracks are in some specified sequence. There's no call "stop the war", "stop to kill" or vice versa "kill each other", just the realy truth about the war, that's all! In the music I tried to show the war as it is. And very pleased with the result. People who understand essence of the demo will not be indifferent, I think.

06. WHAT MERCHANDISE DO YOU STILL HAVE AVAILABLE?

All that I have in there, so it's one copy «Nihil Actum» and "War." Nothing more. Sale of CDs make are Depressive Illusions Records. Nexrist not a commercial project, I'm not trying to make money on my project. I'm just doing music in his spare time. I, like everyone has to work. The realised of music I trust the professionals. If someone likes to sell T-shirts with the logo of the group, well, that's his business! I dont need it!

07. WHAT ARE SOME INTERESTS THAT YOU HAVE OUTSIDE OF MUSIC?

Them very much. Here are some of the bands: Nazhand, Deathrow, Baal Zebuth, Svart, Glum, Sounds of Pain, Totenburg, Cultes des Ghoules, Deadlife, Ethere, Godless, Leviathan, Melancoly, Mgla, Nihil Nocturne, Ossadogva, Stielas Storhett, Tremor, Battle Dagorath , Xasthur, Blutklinge, Dhampyr, Galdr, Gris, Karg, Striborg, 1389, Evil, Basilisk, Vrag, Inferno .... And many more groups from different countries. Favorite albums - almost every album of each of these Bands.As you can see, I like bands from different countries. There are plenty of good teams from Norway, Russia, Brazil, Iran, Germany .... Yes, all around the world.

09. WHAT´S THE BLACK METAL FOR YOU?

Black metal is the essence of our world. In the most vile and truthful its manifestations. The whole truth, from which run and hide most people.
10. HOW ARE  THE NEWS SONGS? WHAT ABOUT ARE THE SUBJECTS OF THE LYRICS?
I am very serious about the lyrics. Sometimes week or more spent on writing the text of the song. I'm working on new tracks. Already prepared several new tracks. The theme of war is closed indefinitely. New songs will be on the other subjects. But no less tough and realistic. I have a lot of ideas, the epitome of which requires a lot of time and patience. Time - the main problem! Work eats substantial part of my time. But I am sure I will do everything I planned!

11. WHAT DOES THE FUTURE HOLD FOR THE NEXRIST?

Planned split with 1389. Work on it is almost complete. Also have an idea to record a split with my friend from the U.S. (Sycamore 3), i working on a full-length album, which will be very different in style from the first demo in the direction of atmospheric black metal. There are several tracks in the style of folk / neo-classical. Perhaps the project will create in this style. Also ready EP "Black and White Dawn", it is available free on Bandcamp, maybe I will realised this material in nearest future. Hopefully everything will turn out!

01 HELLO. TELL US ABOUT THE BEGINNING OF DAWN OF A DARK AGE AND THEIR LINE UP.

Dawn Of A Dark Age was born last January with the aim of exploring different elements within the matrix Black Metal, and is composed by me (Eurynomos) and Buran. I write music, lyrics and play all the instruments while Buran is the mean vocalist.


02. WHAT´S YOUR INFLUENCES?

The Scandinavian scene at first, with bands like Marduk, Darkthrone, Mayhem, Immortal and Dissection. But classical and modern composers as well, like Beethoven, Penderecki, Webern and especially John Zorn for songs’ arranging and composing. 


03. WHY THE NAME DAWN OF A DARK AGE?

The name Dawn Of A Dark Age has to do with the nature and its elements, and with the modern man and his ego, the war, nuclear tests, causing nature to rebel against him. This is the leitmotiv that recurs throughout the six albums that form the whole 'saga' "The Six Elements".

04. WHAT´S THE BLACK METAL FOR YOU?

A lifestyle? A way of thinking? I believe there is no a single word to explain. Everyone can find his own black metal way anywhere in the world. The only certain thing is that black metal was born in Norway.


05. WHAT MERCHANDISE DO YOU STILL HAVE AVAILABLE?

Actually we have t-shirt, patch, pin and a Limited Edition CD (50 copies).


06. DID YOU HAVE PLAYED MANY GIGS?

Not with this project. We’re a duo, but actually we’re searching musicians to add for live. I hope to find out a very strong line-up to start with live session involving as much people as possible in this difficult but very exciting and unique project.

07. HOW`S ITALIAN BLACK METAL SCENE?

That’s very interesting and full of bands. It is alive from the very beginning in its various aspects, from folk Draugr to the symphonic Opera IX, to the violent Kurgaall,  and melodic Forgotten Tomb. Each has its own style and tries to find their own sound, as well as doing us with Dawn Of A Dark Age.


08. COMMENT ABOUT THE FIRST FULL-LENGTH: THE SIX ELEMENTS, VOL I EARTH?

As the title suggests, Earth, the sound I have in mind for this project is the sound of nature, in his prime, in contrast with what is the human discomfort, who continues to abuse, fueling and satisfying his continuous thirst for power. For this I am opposed to the sounds (almost) clean that tend to the perfection of nature (drums, bass, horns) with those who are the frustrations of modern man, the distinctive black metal, distorted and raw guitars.


09. YOU ARE SATISFIED WITH THE RESULTS OF DAWN OF A DARK AGE?

We are really pleased with the reaction of the fans of black metal and the zine and magazine. I know that’s very hard to understand the use of the clarinet and saxophone in this kind of black metal/avant-garde, but the reviews are very positive about this. 

10. WHAT DOES THE FUTURE HOLD FOR THE DAWN OF A DARK AGE?

We’re already working on new stuff for the second chapter of the ‘saga’ The Six Elements. The new album will be released January 1, 2015, exactly six months after Earth.

01. TELL US ABOUT THE BEGINNING OF CURSED SCROLLS?

 Cursed Scrolls borns in 2012 with Magus Aion as only member of the band, after a long wait and waiting for compromissed musicians I took the band myself and I started to compose. The idea was make a ritual ambient black metal with old legends, occultism and myths as lyrics, after some months of work in december of the same year the album of the band was released, 'til today that I'm working on new material.


02. WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO USE THIS WORD AS A BAND NAME?

 The band name is inspired with all old traditions and legends of some people around the world, the woods, the mountains, the caves and specially the dark side of the history.


03. COMMENT ABOUT THE FULL-LENGTH : DUNKEL HEXENKUNST?

Dunkel Hexenkunst is the first full length and it was released in a short edition in december 2012 by as kvlt as hell records, it was a kind of cooperation, he releases my album and I help him to start the label. In may 2013 the label blackdeath prods. released the version of the album in tape format and it will be a reedition soon in Cd again.


04. AND ABOUT THE SPLIT: UNTITLED?

 That split has no name and it was split with my friend of Niebla Funeraria, it was released in september 2013 and was sold out in the same day of release. It has no name just 'cause my friend of Niebla Funeraria put no name for the split. The split was 2 new songs and another 2 tracks that was out of the album.

05. TELL US MORE ABOUT THE COMPILATION: RITUALS OF THE HELLHUNTERS?

 That compilation was released after a long wait (a year more or less) with viceral vomit records, is a good compilation with bands like Anafis or Schattenfang.... It was an experience to know nice bands.


06. HOW DO YOU DEFINE CURSED SCROLLS?

 I see the band as the dark side of me, is the expresion of darkness and how I see the traditions and myths and occultism of course.
     Is the sound of the primitivism and obscurity of the human being.


07. COMMENT ABOUT YOUR LYRICS AND INFLUENCES?

The lyrics as I said befeore is about occultism and old traditions and legends in the magical way. My influences are Inquisition, Darkened    Nocturn Slaughtercult, Satanic Warmaster,  Darkthrone.... A very large compendium of black metal in its darkest form.


08. WHAT IS THE  IDEOLOGY OF CURSED SCROLLS?

 I think that black metal generally should not be inspired by ideologies, I respect it, but I think black metal should be for the darkness and despise independently of religion, politics and stuff like that. So, Cursed Scrolls has no ideology, just chaos, darkness and black arts.

09. WHAT MERCHANDISE DO YOU STILL HAVE AVALABLE?

There still copies for the tape edition of dunkel hexenkunst and it will be available soon a new split with 1389 and Wolfherr with new shirts and the reedition of dunkel hexenkunst, so stay in alert!


10. WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE SPANISH BLACK METAL?

Spanish scene is awesome, there's a lot of very nice bands like Xerión, Nakkiga or Sentimen Beltza. But it seems like people don't want to know new bands, it seems like if you don't have a place in the scene people don't wanna listen to you, but anyway the scene is with a very strong health with a lot of 'zines, bands, concerts and people who leave their asses for that.


11. WHAT`S THE BLACK METAL FOR YOU?

Is a feeling, if don't have it, you'll never know and understand black metal as well. The feeling that black metal have, don't be in no other metal genre, is the voice of hatred and darkness.


12. ARE YOU SATISFIED WITH THE MUSIC OF CURSED SCROLLS?

Absolutly, sometimes is hard find the exact point of feeling for the song but I always do what I want with the music and focus the darkness on it.

13. WILL YOU BE RELEASING YOUR NEXT RELEASE ON VINYL? CD?

- I would like a release on vinyl and I hope that. On Cd will be release the new split and reedition of the first album, and probabily the next works of the band (and of course on tape).

Diablerie Progenie DEMO

01. HOW DID THE BAND GET STARTED?

The band began in mid-2007 in the city of Guaiba. The feelings that I have always been motivated aversion to the Christian faith, desire to misanthropy due to the disgust of some human attitudes and longing for nature. The first line-up featured Alison on guitar and Francis on drums.


02. HOW`S THE ACTUAL LINE-UP?

We currently have Erebus on guitar, Inglorion on drums, Maniphestus on bass, and me, Maharany, on vocals.


03. WHAT`S YOUR INFLUENCES?

Our influences come from metal in general, it is clear that more direct influence comes from the Black Metal bands of the 90s such as Darkthrone, Gorgoroth and Sarcophagus, but we also have influence of Thrash and Death Metal.

04. WHAT`S THE BLACK METAL FOR YOU?

For me Black Metal is more than a musical style, it is a lifestyle, although this is a bit hackneyed nowadays. Black metal was not made for the masses, and never will. It is something to be done it takes a lot of dedication and intensity, so few understand.


05. WHO WRITES THE MUSIC? LYRICS? AND WHERE DO THE LYRICS INSPIRATIONS COME FROM?

The melodies are made by Erebus and lyrics by me. My inspirations for the lyrics come from the disgust I feel for so much shit done by people, submission and ignorance in which they hold is through religion, politics or media. A great source of inspiration is the nature that cleanses, strengthens and clarifies.


06. ARE YOU A MYSTICAL PERSON? SATANICS? OCCULTISTS?

All of us, each in their own way, have our spiritual side friendlier to nature and the elements. 

07. TELL US ABOUT THE MUSIC: BLASPHEMOUS  CREATION. MY FAVORITE.

The letter of Blasphemous Creation was made in 2007, at the time of the first training, but had not yet been used. When I heard the riff knew this would be the letter you should use. This song will be part of the next release scheduled for the end of the year.


08. WHY DO YOU PENTE YOUR FACES?

The corpse paint is done to give the air a macabre performance and also refers to the paintings of war made ​​before.


09. WHICH IS THE IDEOLOGY OF DIABLERIE PROGENIE?

We are against all kinds of mass manipulation, whether religious, political or through media.

Nazism for me is something historical, it should be remembered, but never followed. I think Nazism and Black Metal are things that have nothing to do, and being a Nazi in Brazil is a contradiction because this is the people that there is more mixed.

13. ARE YOU SATISFIED WITH THE RESULTS OF DIABLERIE PROGENIE?

The results have been good, but we are never satisfied. Always strive to improve and increase our audience.

14. WHY THE NAME DIABLERIE PROGENIE?

The word "Diablerie" means debauchery, and "Progenie" means offspring thus nothing more than the "sons of debauchery / perversity.

15. WHAT DO YOU DO IN THE FREE TIME?

We usually get together to talk about the shows, launches and compositions.

16. AS YOU SEE THE UNDERGROUND SCENE ON YOUR COUNTRY?

I see it as a hotbed of very good bands, but I see that it is every man for himself. Sometimes a try to go over the other, that's not cool. Unfortunately the country's culture does not help.

17. WHAT DO YOU THINK OF RELIGIONS?

We are against religions that alienate and imprison the human being, ie Christian / Jewish / Islamic first. But there is also a slave who becomes the "Satanism" and "Atheism" and end up acting the same way as Christians.


18. DID YOU HAVE PLAYED MANY GIGS?

We have two scheduled for 07 and 08 of June.

19. WHAT DOES THE FUTURE HOLD FOR THE BAND?

We have two shows very soon, 07 and June 8. The tapes are coming too. We are working on the next release, due later this year.
